About the role
Are you an experienced workforce scheduler looking to make a meaningful difference in aged care? Southern Cross Care is seeking an agile, customer-focused Rostering Coordinator – Site Support to join our People & Culture team.
In this role, you will lead short-term roster planning and day-of-operation adjustments across our residential sites, ensuring our teams are fully equipped to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.
What You'll Do

Day-of-Operation Management: Coordinate short-term 24/7 rosters across multiple sites, managing shift coverage, leave requests, allowances, and timestamp data.

Resource Optimisation: Align roster variations with workload planners, budgets, overtime delegations, and award requirements.

Compliance & Reporting: Monitor shift compliance against legislative and Aged Care standards while generating key operational metrics and analytics.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Site Management, the Education Team for training schedules, and Payroll for accurate shift data processing.

Continuous Improvement: Champion workforce systems, identify trends impacting resource reliability, and support organisational change.

What We Are Looking For
Essential Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in workforce scheduling or rostering (preferably supporting multiple remote sites within Aged Care).

Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in spreadsheets, outstanding multi-channel customer service, and high attention to detail.

Flexibility: Ability to work shift work covering 7-day operational requirements and adapt to unplanned operational needs.

Licence: Current Australian Class 1 Driver’s Licence.

Knowledge: Understanding of Aged Care industrial agreements and basic Aged Care Standards.
Desirable Experience:

Hands-on experience with Humanforce rostering software and Google Workspace tools.
