About the role

The Exercise Physiologist delivers holistic, client-centered services aligned with SCC’s "Better for Life" and healthy ageing models. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the role focuses on goal-based treatments to improve clients' physical, mental, and social well-being.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, prescribe tailored exercise programs, and provide interventions to maximise functional independence.

  • Contribute clinical insights to multidisciplinary meetings, facilitate internal referrals, and collaborate with Home Services stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with ESSA standards, manage risks, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in clinical audits.

  • Engage in mentoring with Level 2 Exercise Physiologists and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

  • Maintaining a safe environment by following work health and safety policies.

About you

We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A bachelor or master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and current ESSA Registration.

  • A senior first aid and CPR certificate, plus a valid driver's license.

  • Experience in aged care clinical practices, working within a multidisciplinary reablement team, and supporting diverse client background
  • Great communication, conflict resolution, and collaborative goal-setting skills.

  • Good computer skills, including experience using Google Suite.

  • A strong understanding of Aged Care Standards, My Aged Care systems, and healthy ageing practices.
