Permanent Part Time Position -  5 x shifts per fortnight

  • Week 1: Wednesday - 2.50pm to 10.56pm and Thursday - 7.00am to 3.06pm

  • Week 2: Wednesday - 2.50pm to 10.56pm, Thursday and Friday - 7.00am to 3.06pm 

 

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse provides support, guidance, and supervision to Personal Carers to deliver a holistic, person centred service aligned with the "Better for Life" framework. Working in consultation with a Registered Nurse, the Enrolled Nurse assesses resident needs, applies clinical judgements within their scope of practice, and ensures care plans are safe, effective, and maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health Promoting Services: Promote resident independence, social engagement, and meaningful activities while ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
  • Clinical Care: Deliver best practice clinical care, update progress notes, administer medications safely, and collaborate with Allied Health and Lifestyle staff to support resident wellness and re-enablement.
  • Governance and Supervision: Mentor Personal Carers, assist Registered Nurses in organising workloads, monitor resource usage, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

About you

We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse

  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011) & current CPR (HLTAID009) Certificates 

  • Previous experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in an Aged Care environment

  • Strong communication skills with a level of English literacy that enables you to speak in a manner that older people can understand, as well as the ability to read written instructions and to write clearly and concisely particularly in progress notes
  • Exceptional time management and ability to support other staff.
  • High-level understanding of dementia care, including supporting residents with challenging behaviours
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Standards as they relate to accreditation.
