Fixed Term Part Time Contract up to 31 January 2027
3 days a week (days are flexible) - 45.6 hours per fortnight
About the role
To provide nutrition services, act as a consultant and resource person across residential services, provide individual nutrition assessments for residents, and coordinate quality activities including monitoring and continuously improving food services across SCC.
The Dietitian manages high-quality person-centred dietetics services by:
- Assessing residents on a referral basis and formulating a nutrition care plan.
- Participating in menu reviews in consultation with the broader Nutrition team.
- Reviewing and recommending menus and recipes that align with Best Practice Food and Nutritional Guidelines in Aged Care.
- Providing support and guidance to care staff regarding nutritional options and programs within a person-centred focus.
- Participating in quality improvement projects in food service, with a focus on maximising food intake and enjoyment for residents.
- Undertaking practices in accordance with the National Competency Standards for Dietitians in Australia.

About you
Essential Requirements

Qualifications:
- Qualification providing eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians' Association of Australia (DAA).
- Accredited Practicing Dietitian membership.
- Current driver's Licence.
- Experience: Clinical experience in Aged Care.
- Skills: Clinical skills to provide accurate assessments in Residential Care, sound interpersonal skills, and the ability to audit supplement use.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of menu planning and supplement use/needs in aged care, and a basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards applicable to the role.
Desirable Requirements
- Higher qualification in or proceeding towards Nutrition, Management, Public Health & Research.
- Knowledge and experience of clinical and quality documentation and continuous improvement requirements in residential aged care.
