About the role

The consultant acts as a liaison to assist clients and their families in understanding, navigating, and accessing SCC's range of services. The role ensures high-level service to clients and stakeholders, supporting SCC's strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Inbound Calls and Enquiries: Handle phone and email service enquiries within agreed time frames, provide information on SCC services, handle first-level complaints (providing solutions, referrals, and escalations), and develop strong working relationships with other SCC teams.
  • Outbound Calls and Notifications: Undertake outbound calls to support operational objectives and distribute emergency notifications to relevant stakeholders.
  • Administrative and Support Tasks: Handle service referrals (e.g., via My Aged Care), follow approved processes to action leads and meet service levels, maintain client databases (CRM), registers & logs, and undertake administrative support tasks, including for SCC's Bus and Care Car Transport Services.

About you

  • Essential Experience: Customer service and/or sales experience (ideally in a call centre), and experience working with client database systems.
  • Essential Skills: Strong phone contact handling and active listening skills, sound interpersonal skills, empathy for the elderly and disabled, ability to multitask/prioritise/manage time effectively, ability to build relationships, and proficient computer skills.
  • Essential Knowledge: Basic knowledge of Aged Care Standards applicable to the role.
