About the role
As an Occupational Therapist you will work in a person-centred, multi-disciplinary environment that embraces innovative practice and focuses on the reablement of our clients.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
-
providing high quality, efficient and timely clinical services to contribute to better outcomes for clients
-
working collaboratively, and in partnership, with each client to develop a person centred safe and effective treatment plan tailored specifically to meet their needs, goals and preferences
-
contributing positively to multi-disciplinary care planning for our clients
-
case conferencing and problem-solving of complex care needs
-
proactively delivering evidence-based reablement pathways to ensure client physical, social and mental health benefits and identifying deviation from this pathway early
-
evaluating treatment plans regularly to reflect the changing client needs
-
mentoring students as well as supporting new therapy staff members in service and organisation orientations

About you
We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
-
A Bachelor or Master degree in Occupational Therapy including current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
-
sound level of occupational therapy assessment and treatments skills, aligned to the needs and want of our clients
-
relevant experience with an understanding of clinical practices in an aged care setting
-
experience in the multi-discipline environment with a focus on wellness and lifestyle pathways for older people
-
ability to maintain concise and timely documentation
-
interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills that foster the co-operation and support of clients, staff, external service providers and other stakeholders
-
ability to teach, coach and motivate clients, using models of behaviour change, scientific evidence, clinical reasoning, and accounting for socio-cultural and individual factors
-
the capacity to apply for a provider number and an understanding of the aged care system
-
all applicants will also need to hold a current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
