- Mon - 7.30am - 3.36pm

About the role
Responsible for remedial and preventative maintenance programs for Residential sites. Duties include general building and Facility Maintenance, light refurbishments, scheduled and reactive tasks, and emergency repairs. The role ensures a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
- Provide high-quality maintenance services, including preventative maintenance, inspections, and general maintenance (e.g., painting, carpentry, plumbing).
- Ensure 100% compliance with all trade and legal restrictions.
- Effectively liaise with external contractors.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as required.
- Work as an effective staff member, assisting management, communicating positively, supporting new team members, and attending required meetings and training.
- Ensure all legislative and compliance requirements are met, including Fire Safety, Water Management, Safety and Security, and Southern Cross Care policies.
- Maintain a Safe Work Environment (WHS), including reporting for duty unimpaired, using provided WHS equipment, complying with all WHS policies, and reporting hazards/incidents.

About you
- Qualifications: Nil essential, but Trade qualifications are desirable.
- Essential Experience: Building maintenance or handyman services, preparing status reports, experience working within legislative and compliance requirements, and customer service/positive outcomes.
- Essential Skills: Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, follow policy, sound interpersonal skills, ability to build strong internal relationships, commitment to continuous improvement, and striving for a standard of excellence.
- Essential Knowledge: General knowledge of gardening, landscaping and irrigation, General Knowledge of Building or facilities maintenance requirements, and a basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards.
