About the role

Provide face-to-face and remote mentoring and training to new nursing staff (RN, EN, PCW, HCA) and students. This includes monitoring staff, completing competencies, conducting orientations, maintaining trainee records, and contributing to learning content.

About you

  • Essential Requirements: SA Driver's License.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent), current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, Cert IV in Training & Assessment, and current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work autonomously, build relationships, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of Aged Care Standards related to staff knowledge and training/competency for nurses in Aged Care.
  • Personal Attributes: Alignment with SCC's values and "Better for life" model, ability to build positive relationships, commitment to teamwork, integrity, resilience, person-centred customer service, problem-solving approach to risks, and commitment to working to the best of their ability.
  • Desirable Requirements: Completion of Basic Life Support and/or First Aid Instructor Course.
