About the role

To undertake general catering duties supporting the provision of high-quality catering services, working as part of the catering services team and adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in preparing, dispatching, and serving all types of meals and drinks for residents, staff, visitors, and functions.
• Ensuring a high standard of food and service while observing safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
• Undertaking general kitchen duties and demonstrating good customer service.
• Assisting with stock taking, requisitioning supplies, and checking deliveries.
• Following Food Safety, HACCP standards, and Southern Cross Care policies and procedures.
• Accurately maintaining relevant catering services records, including monitoring and recording temperatures.

About you

• Experience: Experience in meal preparation, delivery, and serving, working within legislative compliance, and Barista experience (coffee making).
• Skills: Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, follow policy, sound interpersonal skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Knowledge: A basic knowledge of the Aged Care Standards applicable to the role.
