About the role

Responsible for managing Retirement income streams, Retirement loans, and maintaining the Company's asset register, while assisting the Finance Business Partner Retirement with duties to meet financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare accurate end-of-month management and financial reports within agreed time frames.
    • Prepare monthly journals, including end-of-month accruals.
    • Reconcile General Ledger accounts within agreed timeframes.
    • Assist with preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
    • Identify and analyze key drivers for retirement income and expenditure, and report on business unit trends.
  • Management of Retirement Loans and Income Streams:
    • Ensure all Retirement Loan records are maintained.
    • Provide monthly reports demonstrating that all revenue streams are collected.
  • Capital Works and Asset Register: Maintain sound processes for recording Capital Expenditure and Capital Works Expenses.
  • Systems Management: Ensure key financial billing systems are maintained to meet business requirements, and provide support for system maintenance and upgrades in line with Statutory requirements.

About you

  • Experience in a similar position as an Accountant 
  • Skills: Sound interpersonal skills, ability to adapt communication, strong organisational/time management skills, commitment to customer needs, ability to work with minimal supervision, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and in-house databases.
  • Knowledge: A basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards applicable to the role.
  • Desirable Requirements: Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
