  • Permanent Full Time Filler Position - 76 hours per fortnight
    • A rotating roster covering 7 days a week, which may include morning (AM), afternoon (PM), and night (ND) shifts.
    • You must be flexible to accommodate the varying shift schedule.


About the role

To provide proactive, person-centred, safe, and effective services and support tailored to each resident's needs, goals, and preferences, emphasising compassion, connection, knowledge, and capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health Promoting Services:
    • Provide safe and effective services.
    • Encourage social fitness, independence, and active participation ("do things with resident" rather than for them).
    • Support resident choices about lifestyle and daily activities.
    • Prevent infection spread (hand washing, infection control protocols).
    • Create a positive environment (kind and respectful).
    • Respect the resident's room as their home.
    • Support daily living as per the care plan, including:
      • Personal care (bathing, hygiene, grooming).
      • Continence support.
      • Resident mobility and dexterity support.
      • Safe transfers (including mechanical aids).
      • Maintenance of rooms, personal equipment, and work areas.
      • Respectfully assisting with meals and drinks.
    • Advise the EN/RN/Manager of any change in a resident's behaviour, function, condition, or any incidents.

About you

  • Qualifications: Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Certificate III in Aged Care.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a personal carer role to work without direct supervision.
  • Skills & Knowledge: Sound personal and clinical care skills, communication, time management, physical/emotional ability, manual handling skills, understanding of supporting residents with dementia, and basic knowledge of Aged Care Standards applicable to the role.
  • Desirable Requirements: Senior First aid certificate and an understanding of AN-ACC requirements.
