About the role

We are looking for a passionate chef to lead our kitchen team in a residential care home. In this role, you will coordinate the preparation of wholesome, nutritional meals and ensure all food service meets high quality standards. You will manage food service assistants, respond to resident dietary needs, and ensure our kitchen follows all food safety and HACCP regulations. This is a great aged care career opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference through high-quality hospitality.

About you

We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or relevant experience as a cook/chef

  • Experience preparing nutritionally balanced meals, ideally in aged care

  • Strong understanding of dietary requirements and budget-conscious meal planning

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Sound problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills

  • Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and accreditation requirements

  • Strong understanding of food safety and regulatory requirements

  • Intermediate computer skills, including Google Workspace and database systems
