About the role

Perform accounts receivable functions and other selected accounting and computing tasks within the finance department. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Receivable: Processing centralised accounts receivable in the CIM database, establishing billing and resident records, completing billing corrections, updating billing records due to fee changes, generating periodic billings, receipting monies, verifying banking summaries, processing month-end rollover, and assisting with month-end reporting.
  • Direct Debits: Processing weekly/fortnightly electronic direct debits, reconciling funds, sending files to the bank, and checking bank statements.
  • Reconciliations: Assisting with monthly reconciliation of clearing accounts.
  • Government Advice: Processing Department letters for daily charges, submitting Medicare claim forms, reconciling Annual/Life Time Caps, processing/reconciling refunds, checking/reconciling payment statements, and following up on variances with the Department.
  • Other duties as required: Reports, journals, and other administrative functions.
